Assuming that I do not like to talk about “diets” as restrictions or prohibitions, but lifestyle and training to know how to choose healthy foods, I liked reading this repertoire of excuses from the hand of my colleague Alicia Kirschenheiter, coach health, I want to share with you about the most frequent difficulties in changing habits in our diet.

And we all know is that making excuses!.

How many times have you used any of these excuses to leave your diet and not being able to achieve your purposes  yourself feel better and healthier?

Then I list a few well-known, with a corresponding “anti-excuse.”

1) I do not like to cook!

Join the club!, Many people do not like. But if you look at a good supermarket offers and there are already many types of healthy foods that include proteins (chicken, fish preparation, organic meat), vegetables, salads, etc.. Cooking is all complicated or simple they want to do. Take grilled foods or vegetables in salads is a source of energy than always eating elaborate meals, cooked and seasoned. Have you thought about your purchase plan ahead in order to have healthy prepared foods to mealtimes.

2) There is no way to stop eating these things!

Okay, you can fill with cookies, ice cream, fried … More letting tempted by the devil. The reality is that no healthy lifestyle requires you to compromise. Just know that there is a difference between eating a donut every day or take one or two tablets of chocolate. Getting to find your point of moderation in food and candy to give a treat once in a while is what gives salsa to life.

3) I have no willpower!

The decision to lead a healthier lifestyle is the first step toward change but have the appropriate support is crucial. Maybe I can guide a friend, neighbor, relative, etc.. I am in favor of seeking professional help to accelerate change, because there are many people who have already achieved. Have you thought about hiring a coach with knowledge of nutrition, health and lifestyle to design your plan and fill you with motivation?

4) I start tomorrow!

Have you ever known someone who always leave things for another day and do well? Every moment is a new opportunity to start. And what happens if you eat when you spent a little? You have the opportunity to take a good meal, a fresh start. The best time to start is NOW!

5) I do not eat to live, live to eat!

There is nothing wrong with enjoying the food, I think that there is no Italian food that I like. The key to learning to enjoy food is to learn to eat consciously, savoring each bite, chewing slowly and not knowing how to stop when you are hungrier.

6) I hate to pick out what you like!

Something I hear a lot of customers. But everyone has to take into account what you eat either a professional athlete or when we feed a child. Not everyone has the same nutritional needs but none have carte blanche in making healthy choices. If you look a little on the food you’re eating and how you can go progressively toward more healthy foods.

7) I did not know it had so many calories!

This is my favorite excuse. With the amount of information now required on the label and all that is available through different media, ignorance can not be an excuse. I prefer that my customers say they have decided to eat something they know is not healthy, or go to your favorite dish to listen who do not know how many calories they are taking to do so.
